Opening in Staunton in fall 2026, Dogwood Dermatology’s mission is to provide comprehensive, individualized dermatologic care for patients of all ages in Staunton, Waynesboro, Augusta County, and the Shenandoah Valley.
Founded by Dr. Merrick Kozak, the practice will provide a wide range of medical and surgical dermatology services with an emphasis on early detection and treatment of skin cancer.

Meet the founder
Dr. Merrick Kozak
Dr. Kozak is a University of Virginia–trained physician who is double board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. He has provided dermatologic care to patients of the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia since 2018.
