Dr. Merrick Kozak

Meet Dr. Merrick Kozak, founder of Dogwood Dermatology. Dr. Kozak completed both his dermatology and dermatopathology training at the University of Virginia and is double board certified. He has been providing comprehensive dermatologic care to patients of the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia since 2018.  He specializes in surgical, medical, and pediatric dermatology.  He has a particular interest in skin cancer detection and complex medical dermatology including but not limited to: Psoriasis, Lupus, granulomatous disorders and autoimmune bullous disease.

Outside of clinic, Dr. Kozak is involved in medical education and advocacy through the Virginia Dermatology Society and Medical Society of Virginia. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, and exploring the local food scene with his wife, son, and two dogs.
